Hmmm, the bit about sales receipts rising in Chicago is interesting...

I'm a bit confused by the linked article since I can't determine if there were more sales which in turn increased tax receipts or since tax rates increased in Chicago, Cook county, and the state of Illinois is the actual reason for higher tax receipts...

U.S. I Phones are much less expensive.

The I Phone sold in China does not include WiFi and Video recording among other features.

Re cheap wines:

I usually serve chilled Ripple or Thunderbird with little complaint. If wines have a metal, screw-top as opposed to a cork, you know you have the good stuff.

Thanks for the link. We should expect something like this to be the case. This is a perfect example of government interference in a market harming consumers, in this case Chinese consumers, and reinforces the notion that demand WILL be satisfied, if necessary by the black market.
