I-35W Bridge in Minneapolis

I got these pictures from Google Street View:

This is the old I-35W bridge (I think), from West River Parkway (which is closed now), before the collapse on 8/1/2007:

Update: These are pictures of the old I-35W bridge that was undergoing construction work at the time of the collapse:

Dr. Perry - This isn't the 35W bridge. I rode my bike past the construction site last weekend. The bridge is being assembled with precast pieces and the span across the Mississippi is not yet complete. Not possible to have cars on it yet! (You are right about the before photos though.) There are still pieces of of original bridge steel along West River Parkway, cataloged for the forensics investigation.

Update: Thanks Brian for the correction. I forgot that at the time of the bridge collapse in August 2007 there was resurfacing and construction going on.
